This is one of the hot topic in these days. As lot of gaining knowledge about technology  so they are questioning as is 6gb ram enough for smartphones. 

Many mobile brands launch their phones with 8gb , 12gb, 16gb . People's are attracting towards these phones. 

But the real question is are we need such high rams for our phones. 

What is RAM? 

RAM (Random Access Memory) is short-term digital storage. Computers (and yes, your phone is a computer) use RAM mostly to hold data that active applications — along with the CPU and operating system's kernel — are using because RAM is very fast when it comes to reading and writing. 

Even the fastest hard drive or flash storage is slow when you need to read or write something "right now", and while the CPU inside your phone has its own cache to hold data that's being used for calculations, there's not a lot of it. Even the latest Snapdragon processor's cache is only enough to hold what's being used right now, so you need somewhere to hold what's being used next.

 Reasons why we don't need phones more than 6GB RAM. 

1. Most of the people don't know difference between 6GB or 8GB RAM phones. 

2.Worlds best phone brand apple, have very low RAM phones. 

3. 8GB RAM phones have very high price. 

4. No any apps in android phones are optimised for 8GB RAM PHONES. 

5.8GB RAM doesn’t mean your phone will be ⚡fastest⚡. 

How much RAM does an android APP needs?

• Daily drivers – YouTube, WhatsApp, Spotify, Google Play, and all other system APPS.
• Media Apps– Google Photos, Gallery, Gmail, Maps, Instagram, Facebook, Kindle, and small games like Temple Run, Subway Surfer, Cross Road , Candy Crush, etc.
• Heavy Games – Asphalt, NFS, PUBG, Mobile legends, etc.
• Web Browsers

An Android needs only RAM that can support💪 these work of a smartphone easily, without any lag. 

-How much RAM is needed for PUBG and other Heavy Games. 

Games like PUBG are counted as heavy games. And as the name suggests, Heavy Games are heavy on memory usage too. But, it’s not like they take the same amount of memory as their size, it's a false perception. 

For example, PUBG's total size is about 3GB after all resources are completely downloaded, almost the same goes for Mobile Legends and other ones in this list. But these games RAM requirement range lies somewhere in between 800MB to 1.2GB. In my test NFS took around 800MB of memory, Asphalt acquired a complete 1GB of memory and PUBG took a little more over 1GB of free space from my available memory space (RAM).

In today's world Android brands are only demanding high amount of money just showing the high gb RAMs in their phones📞. 

People just see high GB RAMs and pay lot of money for phone. 

If you are buying a phone for your normal usage you can just buy phone upto 6GB . This is perfect for you my dear friend. 

But if you are a hardcore gamer🎮 you can buy the phones with high GB RAM variants.
