As we all know that there are lot of 5g phones like poco m3 pro had already launched in India. But there is not any network which supports 5g in India. But now DOT(Department of Telecommunications) has approved to the 5g trials in India. 

DOT guidelines for telecom operators. 

Dot has allocated different 5g bands, 5g frequency and spectrums to different telecom operators to start 5g trials in India. Locations at which spectrums are located are Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and many big cities. 

The allocated Spectrums are 700 MHz, 3.3 - 3.6 GHz and  24.25 - 28.5 GHz (millimeter waves). 

DOT also says that the trial will also be held at rural areas, semi-urban areas , means that there will be a full testing of 5g in India before starting it. 

The spectrums are allocated for six months to every network, where 2months for the equipment set up, and other 4 months are for 5g trials in India. For the  equipments DOT had publish the Guidelines that no telecom company will partnership with any Chinese brand. Telecom operators partnership with companies like Samsung, Nokia, CDot etc for the trials of 5g in India.
